Because protecting a legacy begins with understanding its history and safeguarding its future.

Guilherme Figueiredo, co-founder of LEGADO FAMILIAR - Private & Family Office.

For more than two decades, Guilherme has supported families with cross-border assets and responsibilities, guiding them through decisions with fiscal, succession and structural impact. Having worked in Lisbon, London and Geneva, he brings extensive international experience in organising wealth, identifying risks and co-ordinating matters that demand discretion, rigour and continuity.

At LEGADO FAMILIAR, he is dedicated to supervising patrimonial matters, ensuring harmony between national and international structures and bringing together the right professionals when decisions span different jurisdictions. His work centres on clarity, foresight and helping families take each step with confidence and long-term purpose.

Our Approach

Our work begins with a simple idea: meaningful decisions require understanding—of the family’s circumstances, priorities, and fears. Only with that clarity can we build a safe and purposeful path forward.

We listen carefully, organise what needs to be understood, design a clear plan, and bring together the right professionals whenever issues cross different fields or jurisdictions. We accompany families at their own pace, ensuring steady progress and full alignment between wealth, structures, and family dynamics.

Our Values

LEGADO FAMILIAR is built on discretion, independence, and the responsibility of accompanying families over the long term.

We value solutions that are clear, practical, and actionable—solutions that do not create noise, generate tensions, or introduce unnecessary risks.

We believe in a continuous, present, and stable relationship, dedicated to preserving what holds value and ensuring that the decisions made today remain sound tomorrow.

Our Origin

LEGADO FAMILIAR was founded on the conviction that protecting a family’s wealth and maintaining its stability requires more than technical decisions. It demands time, continuity, and an integrated understanding of the people, relationships, and responsibilities that span generations.

After more than two decades supporting families in Lisbon, London, and Geneva, we realised that many difficulties did not arise from legal complexity but from the lack of connection between patrimonial and family matters. This understanding led us to create an independent, discreet, and close-knit structure designed to help families organise their patrimonial life and preserve what truly matters over time.

Our Essence

LEGADO FAMILIAR exists to bring clarity and co-ordination to a universe where patrimonial, family, and succession decisions constantly intersect. We do not replace lawyers, tax advisors, banks, or service providers—we work alongside them, ensuring that every decision is coherent, safe, and aligned with the family’s life.

Our essence lies in continuity: understanding what has been built, accompanying the present, and protecting what must endure. We act with rigour and discretion, anticipating risks, clarifying doubts, and helping families move forward with clarity and predictability.

Tânia Leal, co-founder of LEGADO FAMILIAR - Private & Family Office.

With over twenty years of experience in family and succession law, Tânia has guided families through decisions that call for balance, empathy and deep respect for personal relationships. Her career has brought her close to families at defining moments — marriages, divorces, parental arrangements, family restructurings and inheritance processes — always prioritising stability and mutual understanding.

At LEGADO FAMILIAR, she focuses on succession planning and guidance, informal conflict mediation and helping families clarify roles and responsibilities during times of transition. Her aim is to bring calm to tense moments, open space for essential conversations and help families move forward with clarity and security.

“What has been built deserves to be protected. What holds value deserves to endure. That is the mission of Legado Familiar.”
